Ingredients
1/2 cup raisins.
1 stick butter.
1/3 cup sugar.
1 egg.
1 lemon zest/(1 tsp vanilla essence).
1 2/3cup all purpose flour.
2 tablespoon milk.
2 tablespoon sugar(sprinkling).
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degree.
Grease baking sheet and place in a baking tray.
Take a bowl with butter,sugar and lemon zest,beat everything together by electric mixer or wooden spoon.
Beat in the egg yolk but keep the egg white to one side.
Add this beaten egg yolk into butter mixture and add flour and raisins into the mixture,mix it everything together.
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and kneadnit gently until it is smooth.
Roll the dough by chapathi roller and cut the dough by any kind of cookie cutter.
And place it in baking sheet and bake for 10-11 minutes.
Then remove it from oven,slightly whisk the egg white,then brush it over the cookie with a pastry brush and sprinkle them with sugar.
Again keep this tray inside the oven around 4-5 minutes.
Then transfer the raisin cookies into cooling rack.
Now our raisin biscuits are ready to eat.
This raisin cookies are very healthy party recipe/picnic recipe/christmas cookie as well as any other festival recipe also.
