1 cup yellow moong dal/mung dal
4 small onion/shallots
1/4 tsp. asafetida
2 garlic cloves
2 dry chili
1 tsp. mustard seeds
1 tsp. Urdu dal
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
some curry leaves
2 tsp. ghee
Salt to taste.
* In pressure cooker add washed moong dal,onion,garlic,turmeric powder,tomato,salt and 2 cups of water.
* Turn on the heat, after 3 twistle turn off the heat.
* Heat ghee in another pan, then add mustard seeds, dry chili, Urdu dal and hing.
* Add this mustard seeds seasoning into moong dal mixture, mix it well.
* Serve this moong dal curry with white rice and a tsp. of ghee.
